This Haven will collect your personal data both in our provision of services and when you use this website. This privacy policy will help you understand how This Haven collects, uses, protects and otherwise handles your personal data. Personal data is information that relates to an individual. Our clients

These are clients with whom we work one-to-one for decluttering and organising sessions in their homes or office spaces, over the phone, or via zoom or another online meeting system. It also includes prospective clients who have initiated contact with us but who have not yet booked any decluttering and organising sessions with us. If you are one of the above clients, you will have initiated contact with us via telephone, email, a message through a social media platform, or via the contact form on our website. We may have corresponded by email or telephone and we may have met face-to-face for an initial consultation. We collect and store personal data about you from these interactions including:

  • your full name;

  • your gender, marital status and title;

  • your telephone number/s;

  • your physical address/es;

  • your email address/es;

  • Zoom name;

  • any other online identities that you wish to share;

  • information about why you require help with decluttering and organising;

  • information about your preferences in receiving communications from us

  • any information that you give us about your health, race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, or state of your home/office space which is relevant to the decluttering and organising process

Your data

We respond personally to any inquiries you submit on our ‘get in touch’ page.

We provide details by email, text message, WhatsApp messenger, and/or telephone of any upcoming consultation or tidying sessions that you book. Once we start working with you, we will take into account any preferred communication channels.

We use your home address to send you any materials required for your sessions and to arrive at your booked in-person sessions.

When we visit a client’s home, our whereabouts and how long we are expected to be there are made known to another person through password-protected communication channels, for personal security.

We may send you marketing emails if you have opted in for them. You can unsubscribe from these emails at any time by clicking the link at the bottom of the email. We share your contact information with Squarespace and Mailchimp, our email marketing providers, so they can send these emails on our behalf.

In respect of clients who have booked and paid for sessions with us, we will also collect and store payments between us and other details of purchases of services/goods made by you from us in order to comply with accounting purposes. We do not collect any sensitive data about you other than information that is essential for us and you to work together in the decluttering and organising sessions i.e. to be able to make 2 appointments with you, visit your home for sessions, meet you online for a virtual appointment and for us to invoice you for sessions undertaken. All the personal information that you provide to us is held on secure password-protected software. We endeavour to ensure that your personal information is maintained and updated correctly. You must inform us of any changes to your personal information to ensure our records are up to date.

This Haven will keep confidential all client information, both business and personal, except in exceptional and specific circumstances where we are obliged by law to disclose such information. This Haven will not sell, trade or otherwise pass on your data to third parties unless we provide you with advance notice and request your consent.

This Haven will store your personal data securely for seven years after we stop working together, as required by our industry-specific insurance policy. At this point, we will review and securely erase personal data when it is no longer needed. This Haven has processes in place to comply with individuals’ requests to amend, correct or delete their personal information. See the next section pertaining to your rights.

Your rights

You have the right to amend, correct or complete your personal data at any time. You may have a right to request restrictions on how This Haven uses your data and/or to delete your data. 

You are entitled to raise any concerns about how we deal with your personal data, and if then necessary, to raise your concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
