Frequently Asked Questions.

  • What areas do you cover?

We work mainly in and around London, but also willing to travel further. Since I'm situated in central London, we don't charge travel expenses for clients who are up to 1 hour away via public transportation.

Beyond London, we would need to discuss relevant accommodation and travel costs.

For more information on additional fees, please visit the Pricing page.

  • What is your process?

Initially, we will have a free consultation call through Zoom to establish what you need from us. Then we’d book our first session in person where we can get started on the space.

  • How long will it take?

For our first session, we’d recommend booking a minimum of 4 hours which gives us enough time to come up with a plan for the space and make a decent start on it.

Organising can be very physical work so we restrict each session to between 4 - 9 hours. However, we can be flexible if we are on a roll!

  • Can you take items away for me?

Because we do not have a waste carrier licence, we cannot transport rubbish to the landfill but we can help you load the items that need to be removed into your car.

We can advise you on alternate arrangements, such as where to sell items or methods of item removal.

  • What if I have to cancel?

Please give us as much advance notice if you must cancel so that we can try to reschedule.

If a session is cancelled by you with less than 24 hours notice, you will be required to make full payment. If a session is cancelled with less than 48 hours notice, you will be required to pay 50% of the session cost. If we cancel a session then your 50% deposit for that session will be returned. Cancellation should be provided in writing by email.

  • Will you judge me or my home?

Professional organisers are discrete, private, impartial and non-judgemental.

We are obligated to abide by the APDO (the Association of Professional Declutters and Organisers, UK) Code of Ethics. We acknowledge the fact that starting to control your mess, no matter how minor or large it may be, is a courageous step. We understand that inviting someone into your house may make you feel vulnerable.

Any pictures or films we capture (with your consent) will be used anonymously if you permit us to incorporate them into our portfolio.

  • Can I leave you to organise by yourself?

This process tends to be collaborative and we need your brain in the room but we can work around the odd errand if needed.

  • Will you get rid of all my things?

No - We are not minimalists and never will be but there may be a more efficient way of organising the things you already own.

  • How are you qualified?

Professionally, Sophie has spent her time split between real estate, art dealing and working in the design industry. This means she has spent a lot of time going in and out of client homes and consulting on layout and design.

She is an APDO-certified organiser and has also passed a DBS check.
